National Security is a hot button topic, but is it making us any safer? A lot work has been done to improve the time it takes for a clearance to be completed, but have those improvements cost us our safety? The government agency that handles security clearance, the Office of Personnel Management, has been under pressure to reform the process quickly. The research into this reformation has raised a number of questions that delve into the quality of the investigations delivered. This research hopes to examine whether the reformations have harmed the quality of the investigations, whether the current legislature provides for quality investigations and how the current process is harming the quality of security clearance.
